Look Who's 1 !!!

I can't believe our little boy is a year old!! It has seriously flown by and I have loved every minute of it.
Max's little friends Trey and Warren came by for some cake and icecream and to help him unwrap his presents. It all worked out great, it was like Christmas for these little boys when they were helping him unwrap his presesents, they were so excited. Max wouldn't open them himself so he just kind of sat back and watched Trey and Warren unwrap the gifts.

Our good friends Ashley and Ricky stopped by to wish Max a happy birthday.

I saw this lego cake on the internet and was SO excited to make it. Over the past year I have grown this love for baking, especially desserts :) (it;s horrible because then I just end up stuffing my face) but I had so much fun making this. By the time I was done my hands were died bright pink because of the red food coloring.

We sang him happy birthday with a candle lit in the middle of the cake which of course he tried to grab the flame in the middle of the song.

and after.......as you can see, he loved it. I was anxious to see his reaction to the cake. He's had some sugar up till the point but not very much so I wanted to see if he would dig in or sit back and pick at it. Deffinatley not a picker, he didn't hold back a bit. It was hillarious to watch.

Brent and Jamie helped make it an awesome 1st birthday for him.
